can it be that april has all ready come and gone? during april, we took a break from extracurricular stuff, except for scouts...and it has been nice for this momma! below is a sticky note bridon electrical taped to the door while i went and picked bentley up from the church. basically, "come and get us, we're home alone!!!" the girls and i were busy with camp stuff and primary and such. we took some time for play dough. i would like to try harder to have more learning and growing opportunities for my kids here in/around our home as we approach summer...that is a new commitment and many more!
ben did a little custom work and geared up to start hay on may 1st. the girls like to go with him. actually, everyone likes to go. we are very low on water and very dry. hoping for a slightly (a lot slightly) better hay year!
emily received her endowments in the boise temple during the month. she is getting married in july! the temple is just so amazing the inspiration that is received there. i did begin family history! i have made connections! but the temple work was completed in 2014, so i missed out. there has to be more, and i will do my best!
ben gave me a groupon for christmas to go to handgun 101 class. it was actually a lot of fun and i'd like to practice more! when i got home, i found ellee passed out in the high chair and my new, broken by ellee 2x, vintage hall lite up. it still looks awesome even if it got cracked. oh well! there are more important things to life....check out poor ellee's face. before ivy left, some scratching happened. she has the marks to prove it!
we worked in the pasture as a family moving the calves and changing the water. bentley often gets to stay up later and help ben with it when he gets home at nite.
miss ellee is like her 2nd oldest brother, only female form. look at all they dressing up they do! she is showing off the new patio we had put in in the back. emerson is my right-hand helper outside most of the time. she loves planting seeds and flowers.
and bentley started his mowing business again! this time he even took up the borrow pits and wonders why his blade is dull?! he also helped one of the deacons in the ward that i bought at the youth auction clean out the chicken coop. he thought he was pretty hot stuff running the loader. and i clearly wasn't thinking when i let lincoln drive (his maiden voyage)the pickup! i figured every 12 year old has to have moved the car around a bit, right? woops.
bridon had his 1st grade program and emerson and grandma and i attended. it was 'where the wild things are'! cute.
at this time, i am so thankful for our health and strength. i had a little scare this past month, and i feel more blessed than ever to have a body that i can use to raise my family, serve others (which we are trying to do more of!), and be a better person. "to be an instrument in His hands..."
