May Recap

bentley was involved in friday night flag.  it was practice once a week and then a game every friday nite.  he loved it because it was 5 on 5, so he got to play quarterback, center, etc... ben has a workout class on friday nite, so it was just me and the kids mostly.  but on the nite of our ward auction and dinner, bentley's team advanced to the championship game and he was desperate to be able to go and play.  ben decided he would take him and they each got a trophy.  best thing in the world for an 8 year old:)  it seems this is the sport bentley has chosen.  we didn't know a soul on this league, but it turned out fun!

all three kids went to the zoo for field trips!  i made it two of the three trips!

i bought passes to the idaho historical museum from the school carnival.  they expired 5/31, so we had to hurry and go use those up and invited camille to come along! they had a scavenger hunt that bentley really enjoyed, bridon liked dressing up, and emerson liked the state capitol blocks.  we had lunch at chick-fil-aand then headed home. simple and fun!

beth and i got flowers together for memorial day.  we had grandpa over for dinner since jenny was having her baby, and visited the cemetary sunday nite with him and brian's family.

bridon graduated from kindergarten that next wednesday.  this year, they planned to have a picnic outside and recieve awards, but it was practically the only chilly, windy day we've had.  bridon had perfect attendance!  he had a great teacher, mrs. belles.  he is sounding out a lot of words and tries and can read so many things now!  we are proud of him.  the girls and i were the only ones that could make it...it was right in the busyness of swathing and baling!  i missed the memo on the diploma pictures...luckily he didn't have holes in his pants atleast:).

and the last day of school, i let the boys each invite a friend to go swimming at lakeview park for their birthdays since we never got to have any friends over (dakota f. and chad).  heather was awesome and kept my girls.  besides all the adult wackys at the pool, the boys had a wonderful time playing football, going on the water slide, etc. and i could help and go with them!  it was a bit chilly, but bridon kept saying, 'this is the best day ever!' bring on summer!
