1st Cutting
first cutting has all ready come and almost gone! spring and summer are a busy time for us, and i always think i am going kind of crazy when ben is right in the middle of it. but this year there is a small break because of the water situation in owyhee county and because the weather has been beautiful! after 10+ years, i have finally come to realize a little bit of what i can do to make these busy times better and to have a good attitude (i hope!)...it is the radical change in schedule that throws me off, esp with all the kids and them needing a routine and the things we are involved in. then things will even out for a few day, and then we'll be back to super busy again. but that's the way it is, and i am very grateful my kids get to grow up here. (see the above picture...boys trying to get in and run everything while emerson sits on the buddy seat bawling because there are so many spiders crawling on the header, window, and door:)
field picnics are a little bit harder now with everyone:), so we usually just eat here and then take a plate to daddy. i did break down and try out the new subway in marsing on memorial day. we picnicked in the triticale. we also try to have fhe even if dad's not home...and sometimes have it in the field, field FHE! it is a good life. it teaches me tolerance and patience and that is something i will be working on forever!
