Spring Work has Begun!

we have been busy working outside when it's not raining (and we are thankful for the rain)!  here we have buzz on the no-till drill.  this particular one ended up not being the tool we needed, but ben has been busy with the ada county drill we rented, drilling for lots of the neighbors.  it's an epidemic:).

bentley has mowed the lawn twice.  first cutting was big and thick and took a lot of time and pushing (it's not self-propelled).  he was up there for a few hours, but he didn't give up and did it again.  way to go bentley!
the garden finally got tilled by the no-till farmer.  and we did quite a bit of spraying and clean up.  clean up has been never ending since the remodel started.  and trips to the dump, di, and selling on craigs list are finally dying down.  that, my friends, was a lot of work!  the kids and i will hopefully plant the garden this week.
the girls and i have been moving rooms around, keeping the cleaning under control, cleaning out junk and rooms and more junk and planning our grandiose decorating for the new rooms which may be completed in a few years at the rate we're going:).  i think things are finally under control now though and livable.  the stuff left is not the most important things i should be doing right now in my life, so i'll slowly get them done and not let the situation consume me.  (yes, i know my weaknesses:)
the water started last week.  ellee is ready to go with her lunch box and mom's shoes.  the girls are obsessed with my shoes!  we reworked the pasture irrigation system next to the house all in the name of child labor.  why would we do this to ourselves???  to raise kids i guess.  bentley and ben moved the handlines each morning before the bus came and at nite after school.  good times.
and we couldn't leave this post without bridon's first 'selfie'.  he took this sweet pic while burning weeds with bentley and ben.  i like the green sucker mustache and barbed wire, smokey background myself.  bentley has been going to burn a lot of weeds lately.  whichever relative is on burning detail comes and picks him up after school to be the driver.  happy spring!
