spring break came and went in a hurry it seems! it came in cold and ended up very warm and dry. pray for april showers! gma moncur came for a march birthday visit for the kids. she decorated spring, sugar cookies with each of them and came to church with us. we played basketball and stayed in out of the wind on monday trying to get ellee feeling better. bentley went on his first job assignment, picking rocks. then she had to go...
the the weather changed and we were outdoors as much as possible! we rode bikes and walked and the kids had a blast with the sidewalk chalk. bentley and bridon made a monster named 'bob' and emerson made rainbows. we had a little, 10 year old 2nd cousin over to babysit one afternoon so i could go running and work on some projects. the kids had lots of fun with her and each got to go to a friend or cousin's house or have them here during the week. and there was yard work to do as well!
on thursday, we took the kids to a movie...wreck-it ralph. it was actually pretty cute and fun. everyone fared well. we will have to do it again! we had an unplanned dinner appointment from the missionaries that nite, so ben bought a papa murphey's pizza. he put it right on the element and caught the cardboard pan on fire. it ended up being pretty funny...and smokey! :)
ellee started feeling better after she stayed in a few more days. no more coughing and congestion and snot! she loves to grab things now and put stuff in her mouth. she is adorable, and i can't believe how fast time is flying by. now, we are working on sleeping thru the nite. she slept up to 4 a.m. the last two nites. crossing my fingers for sure...it is about time!!
we enjoyed celebrating easter together! gma mcintyre hosted a dinner and egg hunt friday nite. bridon was in love with the monster he got and cracked us up when he took a big hunk bite out of a hard boiled egg that he thought was candy. notice in the other picture that emerson has two, big uncles' hands hovering over her basket trying to get her to give them her reeses eggs. i'm not sure their success. we dyed eggs here at our place too and had a hunt and baskets. the kids got t-shirts and t-shirt paint to make thier own shirts. they loved this!! bentely got into the painted t-shirt thing when i found an old one from my childhood de-junking the basement a few weeks ago that i gave to him.
i really enjoyed having all my kids around me for the week. it felt like summer! i love each one of them and want to help them become the best they can be. a funny moment from bridon...of course. ben asked him to do something on sunday and he said 'k' a couple of times. ben said 'there is no k, bridon!' bridon resonds, 'there is K dad! it's in the alphabet. it comes before l!!'

You guys are having too much fun. I love hearing these stories of little kids driving tractors and 4-wheelers. It sure brings back memories. I don't know how we ever survived. Kevin had spring break last week and he kept saying he wanted to go back to school. I am glad he likes it!
I think I say the same thing every time I look at your blog, but I can't believe how big Ellee is getting and so cute! And I loved the post about Emerson, such a sweet girl and rocks those bald spots, I really do love her haircut! You are such a good mommy!
Cute pictures! It won't be long before summer! Have a great week! I'm glad I could come down for a couple of days.
