i made her 'basagna' for dinner at her request. she loves that and basketti. her other loves are ANY dessert or candy. she has quite the sugar tooth. she also likes to eat pretzels for a snack and dried fruit. she likes to bite off part of the pretzel and then ask me what letter she made. she can recognize e for her name. she is a good girl, still very independent but also very shy in public. her and i went to monkey dooz for her birthday and got our nails painted and sipped on a homemade soda. she would only smile after the ladies left to go up front. she loves her baby sister, esp getting her a diaper and wipe, and she loves the colors blue, purple, and pink. she loves wearing all different types of shoes, no matter who's they are. she also enjoys going to nusery, library, and wishes she could go to pre-school! in the last 5 weeks, she started losing a lot of her hair and has 6 big bald spots now. she was such a brave girl when we took her to get her blood drawn and didn't even cry. the derm that we went to seems to have confirmed that it is indeed, alopecia. bummer. she doesn't know any different at this point in her life, so we'll hope for the best in the treatments that we're trying. but some prayers wouldn't hurt. i know her mother doesn't want her to face her life bald!

Three!
happy birthday to emerson eliza! she turned 3 on march 19th. she memorized the day of her birthday and was excited to get a brave doll from mom when she woke up in the morning! we also went and got her hair cut...more on that later. then we met some of our cousins at the jumpin jungle to have some fun. she has been asking to go there all winter, but believe it or not, i have been trying to keep as many germs out of the house as possible. you wouldn't know it by how many times ellee has been sick (another week of coughing and snot and no sleep). but, we went and i think everyone had a good time!!! in the afternoon we made her requested purple 'cake' cups and she picked out pink, cherry ice cream.
she wouldn't blow the candles out and as you can see from the picture, she was quite embarrased and shy when we all sang her happy birthday. we had cousins over again and gpa and gma. aunt julie's family was even in town, so that was fun to have them here for the party. they gave emerson a dollar. bridon's eyes lit up when he saw that since he is a 'monies' collecteor and told her he could keep it for her...:) ben and i got her a purple farm sweatshirt and a purple swimsuit which she had to try right on to open her present from anni and tylee.
