Bentley turns 7!!

someone turned 7 all ready!  time flies by!  bentley lost another tooth and had the tooth fairy visit the morning of his birthday.  he opened a pair of gorilla slippers he wanted and then got to go to the white house for a breakfast burrito before getting dropped off at school.

 emerson and i mixed up bentley's brownie cake anbd frosting while he was gone.  bridon sampled all the oreos.  when he got off the bus, it was perfect weather for flying a kite.  then it was off to get his bithday farm sweatshirt i had made and pick up some ice cream in town.  ben and i made sushi for him for dinner and then some of the family came over for a treasure hunt and cake and ice cream.  the hunt ended in the basement with him finding his neon green, trick bike ben picked out for him.  he was on it everyday after school until the tires blew out with goat heads.  it's in town getting desert tires put on.  we even ended the day with a tradition ben's family does...going around the room and telling the birthday boy why we love him!

i intervewed bentley.  his favorite colors this year are blue and orange.  his favorite food is sushi.  his favorite part of his birthday was getting his bicycle.  he enjoys math and p.e. at school, and hates doing his reading and reading worksheets at home (he said it, not me:).  his favorite teams are the broncos and his basketball team he played on.  he likes sharing time in primary the most.  he also enjoys making lots of things with paper when he's around the house and he loves to work on the farm.  saturday, he drove the 4-wheeler for grandpa all afternoon to burn ditches.

bentley can be the biggest helper when he wants to be.  one sunday morning, he blow-dried my hair while i fed ellee and then had her all buckled in her seat and started the car while i got emerson dressed and everyone's coats on.  he is very observant and smart.  he notices the smallest things that have changed or are out of place.  he loves people.  he has so much potential and we love him so much.  happy birthday bentley!!
