Fall is Here

we all ready got our first freeze!  i let the garden go, but the flowers finally look beautiful again.  i bought some anti-freeze spray (??), and so far they are still alive.  the aftersnoons are perfect weather! we harvested the pumpkins and squash and had quite a bounteous crop!  fall work and planting winter grains and alfalfa have been taking ben's time before the water goes out of the canal.  bridon was a big helper the other day and got 'poison' all over his arms and pants from the treated seed.  everyone wants to go!

today emerson started running down the road after him and i could barely catch up to her as she was screaming for him to come back and get her.  she is so independent it wears me out sometimes.  i am getting big!  this week is 34 I believe; i’m not one to count but had a dr’s appointment and realized it is coming right up here!  holy cow, i still have a lot to get done before i have a newborn.  we still don’t have a name.  this only happened with bridon…hmmm, hopefully we’ll come up with something!  we’ve been busy handing out temple open house invitations, watching conference, and preschool for bridon.

we all got to take a field trip to the idaho botanical gardens last week when everyone was out of school. the kids ran wild and had a great time! we even had friends over for a bbq last week. about time, most of them we haven’t seen since christmas last year. can’t wait to enjoy october’s weather before the cold sets in…we can still get out and walk (i feel like i am moving very slowly now), mostly to the shop, so i can do a little work. the kids found a preying mantis there last week. last, but not least, bentley is enjoying 1st grade. i took a picture of his 1st grade smile since the dentist said his teeth coming in are very large. homework is still painful and i worry about peer pressure with that boy. just the other day he told me a boy in his class told him his fortune would come true (from his fortune cookie at lunch;they served chinese food) if he swallowed it. so he did. oh man!

I had no idea they made antifreeze spray for flowers. I'll have to try it out next year.
Love your pics, as always!
