Calling September!

we want you back september!  it seems this year,
one of our favorite months of the year, went by even faster than usual for some reason! the temperatures were perfect and a welcome break from the heat wave of july/august, even though we had lots of smoke. we canned. bentley ground up tomatoes to his hearts content. he started to get nice and adjusted to a school schedule and doing homework! bridon played and went with daddy...and cut his hair again in a split second, resulting in another buzz and me calling him 'buzzy.' he started preschool with two sets of friends. we started harvesting the garden. huge carrots this year that the kids love! emerson finds cheetoh and attempts to catch her every time we go out. cheetoh has a secret way to get up on the roof of the house and gives us a surprise every now and then. she is much tamer now. i finally purchased, fixed up, and painted e a little toddler bed after i gave up on the idea of ever getting the one i bought on craigs list all ready during farming season. i made homemade chalk paint in off white and got everything situated in her room for her and new baby! she loves her new bed and will even take a nap on it most of the time! ben bought a new, high-rent sleeping bag and headed out on his first scout campout. all ready came home with interesting/funny stories! i decided to venture down with the kids and run the paul panther dash that mom was helping put on at her school. dad was home and was able to take emerson, so bridon and i ran together while bentley dashed up and back. we had practiced some at home. we made it in 10 min and bri jogged the whole way; he did not want to stop! bentley did good as well, next time we will make sure he doesn't wait for us at the end to cross the finish line :)...

last nite was the general women's broadcast. it made me reminisce. it was 8 years ago that ben and i moved into a single wide trailer in marsing. i remember putting stuff away and then heading into the broadcast. we had some funny memories at the trailer.  one of the funniest, was this huge black cat that lived in the shop next to us, we named 'johnny cash'. one nite, the back door had popped open (typical trailer thing, people) while we were sleeping. it was right next to our bedroom and johnny cash had come in and was sleeping on ben's feet at the bottom of the bed. he frrr-eaked when he felt fur moving around on his feet (we aren't the indoor pet kind)! i crack myself up everytime i think of it, although my first thought was skunk at the time! he says life was so easy there. true that, but i wouldn't trade all of our litte people and where we're at now...
