since our boys are old enough now to really get involved with fhe, i made a goal to organize our fhe lessons, activities, and music. i made a box for each and put each lesson, etc. in a ziplock bag. i went through everything, mission stuff, files, binders, and sorted it all into categories. so far, it is working out great for our family. even ben likes teaching the lesson :)! i remember certain things from the fhe box when i was a kid. the lamanite made from a nylon and hanger, the prophet cards, the music wand made out of a cardboard tube, and the pickle and warm fuzzy lessons!
tonite we had gorilla poops out of the freezer, a magnet board lesson on nephi's journey in the wilderness, and a book of mormon game i laminated from the friend. we sang 5 little ducks and the handcart song, while emry yelled 'duck, duck, goose' (we studied the letter d today in preschool). emerson drug her potty into the living room and used it as a stool to get her hands on all the BOM cutouts up on the piano, while the boys fought over where the camel should go on the board. e changed her baby's diaper, "eww and poop and yuck" on the edge of our table while we played our game. for us, it was a success!
no one wanted to go to bed tonite. bridon came in twice yelling at ben and i while i was doing some yw work. he said "here's the deal. we're going to play duck, duck, goose for going to sleep!" ok bridon, back to bed, we'll play in the moring. second time around, he got up and said "catch a tiger by the toe, and you are not IT!" like i am not it and i am not going to bed!!! i taught the boys the eeny meeny miney mo to help choose helpers, or divide a treat. who is that boy anyway!?

I forgot about the Lamanite with the nylon face... Funny things we remember. Keep up the good job! It will pay off in the end!
