Camp Glenwood

i promised i'd take the kids camping when i got back from girls camp. ben's extended family reunion was the next weekend in garden valley at a church camp called glenwood. they used to go there all the time when he was young. i packed visit teaching, a haircut that bridon says looks like rapunzel, chicken butchering, farewell to camp, and office work in before we had to pack up and leave again. ben was able to come since we didn't leave until the evening. there were little 'bunk' houses for everyone (the first nite was rough)and lots of crafts, food (thx to gma for putting all of our assignment together!), and games for the little ones. sadly, no water sports. that was only thing that was missing since it was SO hot! bridon found a stick that he carried around and shot all day long; he even duct taped it after the trigger broke off. i never lost him once because i could hear his gun going off all day. bentley made a marshmellow gun with the other kids and had fun exploring with all the different cousins his age. emerson got covered in dirt. it was intense how dirty she was. luckily there was running water to give her a shower the second nite. i headed up a couple of wood craft projects and ben spent time making tow ropes out of twine. we jetted out as soon as the auction was over with some strawberry jam and a carload of tired kids!
