Girls Camp = Sleep Deprivation

girls camp was a success! no injuries, melt downs, crashed trailers, rain, or fights...just a leaky water pump on a car and a few sun burns. yeah! my only ill effect was lack of sleep. i don't know what got into me, but it took three days to catch up on my sleep. i went to bed while ben was still working at like 9:30 or 10 and didn't get up until 6:30 or 7 for three days in a row! i had too much fun i guess. i haven't been outdoors free like that for more than five years (age of my oldest) nor have i laughed and laughed watching skits and telling stories and having fun. laughter is good! i need to do more of it myself and with my family! we rafted the payette, camped and canoed at sage hen reservoir, hiked six miles to and from the tripod fire lookout, certified, and ate plenty. the theme of the camp was 'pattern of righteousness' based on the

parable of the home-made shirt by eld. holland. i had several activities that went along with this, and i learned so much! there were some great girls there and great leaders...a couple that i didn't know well at all. sis. pinegar, my mom's age, was by far the funniest lady there. she and i tied for whitest leader legs. some things never change! a few times i wished my kids could be there with me...like i was hiding out and enjoying something without them, but i will take them when they are older. my mom was a lifesaver back at home and nothing died...and i was greeted with a rock family and new baby doll! it was a wonderful experience...one ben says he will tell the bishop no on if i get asked again. come on ben, it wasn't that bad!!! :) really, it wasn't...i had the best help in the world here and there!!!
