Hooray for Five!

bentley turned five on friday. sometimes it seems like that seems about right, but other times, i can't believe how fast time has flown by! we gave him a t-ball mitt, i made him a 2010 scrapbook, and he got a book from his cousins. i wanted to do a five year old portrait, but in this one b's hair is a little too shaggy and his best shot shows his gum. check back, we'll try again this week (we gave him a haircut)!

i gave bentley a survey today. here are his answers:
favorite color is blue, favorite thing to play is riding his bike and digging holes in the garden with bridon, favorite food is tator-tot casserole with broccoli, favorite drink is water...or root beer!, favorite animal is a gorilla, favorite book is 'the old lady that swallowed a pie', favorite movie(s) are 'flying house' and despicable me, favorite thing to do w/ dad is big bale, favorite thing to do with mom is go grocery shopping, favorite thing about going to church is being asked to say the prayer. he also said he had a great time going to the discovery ctr yesterday and getting a nerf gun from camille.

bentley is a very friendly boy. he always wants to be informed. he still likes to work...and doesn't play much (that is a little tricky, but will probably make his transition to kindergarten awesome!) he is a little adult and loves to go with ben and do farm work. he helps me out a lot with the little kids, especially when we're out and about or on a trip. he loves to laugh, and is always willing to try new things. although he enjoys more one on one time (loves playing board and card games!), that is not always possible with 2 others right behind him. i appreciate that even though it's not as easy now, i can still reason with him and help him make a good choice or get him to choose another option when needed. ben and i love him and are so happy to be his parents. ben had a to talk me into having him :), but once i brought him home, i was changed forever! happy birthday bentley!
