I am THANKFUL

pretty much the whole month of november we have been talking on different things that we are thankful for during our FHE's each monday. we had a thankful treasure hunt, made some thank you cards, used gma's thankful chart (it will be awesome when they're a little older and bridon doesn't get the stool and try to tear it down!), and learned some new songs about being thankful. bentley asked me yesterday in sacrament meeting what the speaker meant by showing 'gratitude'. i am happy to report he was listening this week and we didn't have any major upsets, just some more consistent parenting and a better nite's sleep for both boys on saturday nite! no pig snorting or losing one of them! our family is thankful for so many things. we wish you all a happy thanksgiving and are so grateful for all the big and little things the Lord has blessed us with!

today we are thankful for all of the things bentley mentioned, plus a day without wind, and of course, getting to go with dad on the tractor! the nice people we visit and visit teach with. a prophet and leaders to guide and direct us. this was a favorite quote from elder bednar's talk that i shared this morning with the sisters."as disciples of the savior, we are not merely striving to know more; rather, we need to consistently do more of what we know is right and become better." we are thankful for health and strength. this time last year was one of the hardest times in poor little bridon's life (and ours too). we're happy we can work and move and have a warm meal together that everyone loved...and thankful for the dishwasher and vacuum to clean it up! and we're thankful for each other! these boys of ours always make us laugh. tonite, while getting ready for fhe, i noticed the electric egg beater was out in the living room plugged in under the window. bridon turned it on for us during the song and afterwards him and bentley had a blast 'driving' it around. it didn't have the beaters on it, so seems pretty harmless. oh, little boys and all their messes and all their fun. we are thankful for this time in our lives. i'm sure it will go by way too fast! instead of threatening to not have family home evening if toys arent' picked up, in ten years we'll be trying to get them to want to have it with us!

Thanks once again for sharing your blog, it always brings a smile to my face and a little giggle. But warms my heart a lot! Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm sure looking forward to having the girls both home. Mary

We sure can learn a lesson from little ones. They know what is most important in life. Remember, as parents you have a window of 0 to 6 years old to fill up their reserviors of knowledge. What you put in during those years will last them for a lifetime. Keep up the good work!
