ever since we moved in, there has been an alfalfa seed field across the road from the house. thus, the end of june, first part of july...the leafcutter bees come on with a vengeance (you can see their little 'houses' below)!
even though you can see holes in my roses, they destroy the pink primrose, and they fill the basement window trying to 'bore' their way back outside,
i'd rather have the bees than people and houses across the road ANYDAY!!! (and they do some awesome 'free' pollinating for me on the garden:)
