we are so blessed to live in this awesome land of america! for the fourth of july, we started out the day with a 2-mile fun run in melba. i ran with (behind...but steady) chris and jenny, while ben walked with the boys and the others in the stroller. later that nite, we had bbq'ed steelhead from our gopher trapper and a YUMMY dessert that kathy made. we enjoyed visiting and time in the yard in some really nice weather.
we all headed down to our house for fireworks and festivities...and we ended up having a driveway full of people!
bridon slept in his bed, while bentley was coerced into a nap and got to stay up and watch and 'grow snakes' and lite sparklers with katy.
for fhe, we talked about our flag and liberty and freedom. we took a hike up to liberty butte, right by our house, and looked out at the view and checked on the flag that we all helped put up a few years ago.
it sure made us think about the freedoms and beauty in this sweet land of liberty!!!

Wow Maria, your blog is just what I needed tonight. I love your thoughts on the farm life and scriptures and prayers and well...everything. You've snapped me out of my slump.:)
I'm glad you had a fun 4th of July. The weather was just perfect! On top of Mt. Harrison I could see the whole valley below and it was a beautiful site! Cute pictures of Bridon and Hesston! You are becoming a real talented photographer!
