From the Mouth of Bentley

this morning in church i put my arm around bentley during the sacrament. we have been working on reverence, and he did a really great job today, but told me "mom, that's embarrassing", when i put my arm around him. i guess i don't feel so bad because he also said the asparagus was embarrassing today at dinner. he learned the word when i told him it is embarrassing to go pee pee in public places (like the park or the mall parking lot), or to wear his pajamas with dad to work.

everyday he comes up with something funny coming out of his little mouth. the other day, he had gotten up in the cupboard and had a cough drop in his mouth. he was patting his stomach, and told us "his belly hurt." when he has a big cough or has trouble clearing his throat, he says "there's a frog in my mouth." he also came in after he had hit his head really hard outside and said a cookie would make his head feel better.

a new favorite he learned from his dad which was taught, for say, food that has fallen on the ground, etc. however, while delivering lunch this week while they were on the swather, he told me his chicken sandwich was "nasty." he even accentuates the "y"! how endearing.

he helps ben and i everyday from saying crap, stupid, idiot, and dumb. he corrects us whenever he hears the words, by saying "we don't say _______." and a final note, i was getting him and bridon ready to do something and called them "my little boys." he said, "were not your boys, we're your hooligans!" well, at least he's listening to some things, right?! gotta love them...i will treasure these little words forever i'm sure!
