Let's Build a Shop!

grandma gave us a book called, "let's build a house." it goes to the toon of "the wheels on the bus" and has a page for each phase of contruction until the final day of moving in. bentley loves the book and started saying "let's build a shop" instead, since that is what we are in the process of doing around our place. this last week we had a small disaster with a big wind storm and all the work that had been done to put down the radiant heat in the floor. so, mon-wed, ben spent all of his time redoing it with brad and the guys. bentley had a BLAST! he helped move insulation, rolled tires out of the way, rearranged the boards, you name it! he would come home exhausted and black, but screaming to go back for more. on tuesday nite, i went and got him for supper and he threw his first, big fit. when he cooled off, he told me he had "wood" in his finger. it was a huge sliver and after quite the ordeal we were able to pull it out the next morning after it had gotten very "puffy." he also hit himself in the eye with a piece of rebar he was using as a hammer...all in the line of duty. bridon enjoyed himself too. he crawled around and chewed on the plastic staples after we came over in the stroller. the finished product will sure be exciting!
