ok, ok...made homemade foot rub, christmas bread, and our funnest service, was doing the 12 days of christmas for the harrison's up the road. we almost got caught twice but the kids loved it!
it's been pretty darn, cold but the boys went to bed the steers and rode back in the spreader. they also rode on the beater. we spent an early christmas eve with ben's family and did our gift exchange and the nativity. it even started snowing just a tiny bit as we loaded up to come home. we dropped off our 12 days and then had our sibling gift exchange together. what fun!
santa was good to us and brought skis, and dyno-bots, a dollhouse and fun things for our stockings. mom and dad gave the girls home-made frozen outfits and the boys ski stuff and a karate suit. we had a traditional breakfast casserole and started a fire in our new fireplace. we went and fed cows and pigs and played in the ice, then got home to our toys and a rousing game of farm'opoly that took about 3 hours! bentley held out the longest and finished up playing with dad. the rest of us had to drop out for sake of time and rowdiness... that evening, we had dinner with ben's family and played a few games before turning in for the nite. we try not to focus too much on going crazy with gifts and such, in hopes that our kids will remember and spread the love and joy of the savior during the holiday season.
after our trip, our new years eve was spent at the cpa and office. ben was able to catch the fiesta bowl while i finished things up. he and i went to a new years party at the bingham's and it was a lot of fun! there were 6 other couples there playing games and ringing in 2015!
and just today, we finished up the boys' break and our farm's (we gave all employees 2 weeks vacation). it was our first, early morning church, (LOVE) and we came home and made fondue. we'd been hoping to have a new family over for this, but after rescheduling for the 4th time...we ate it ourselves and had a great day talking about resolutions, our new church classes, and building an actual, hot, toasty fire. happy new year!
