Shocking 6th Birthday!

bridon turned 6 on friday, may 9th.  no school for him!  he got to pick out his own lego set with gma mcintyre and was kind enough to let emerson tag along.  he usually is nice to her, except when he punches her in the back:).  bridon was really into collecting electrical gadgets and wires during and before his birthday, so he wanted electrical stuff and an electrical cake.  that actually seemed relatively easy to me, plus aunt emily was in town and offered to come by and make the yellow frosting.  yippee! my frosting always ends up less than perfect.  the rest was a cinch.

 bridon played legos all morning and only had to do a couple chores :).  when bentley got home for early release, we had his favorite spaghetti lunch.  we went over to joanna's and petted the sheep and horses and then worked a little in the garden.  all the cousins came over for cake and ice cream before we had to dash off to bentley's football game.  he got lots of fun little things, including a very loud whistle.  ben and i gave him a jr electrical kit.  him and bentley have had a ton of fun with it.  best thing i've bought off amazon:).  we also gave him the frozen soundtrack, which we def know by heart now!, and a spiderman shirt that was too big and i haven't returned yet.  lame.  oh well.  he wanted cheesecake ice cream after he tried it this spring at cold stone.  i wasn't able to find that, but made cheesecake flavored cake from pudding and he had monster cookie ice cream.  we played the balloon game and the two pictures i've included show his personality and mannerisms so well.  he is a fun and crazy little guy. 

 that nite we unexpectedly ended up eating at jalapenos with gma and gpa while ben was at his workout and after bentley's game.  the sombrero picture is him being sung to very loudly.  he was excited but you can tell, a little nervous as well.  on sunday, we spent the day with gma and gpa moncur.  they gave him an army ranger costume among other things and the jr electric kit was hauled down there, so he had a great day.  i can't believe my little buzz is 6.  i tell him he cannot grow up any bigger!  he's still somewhat of a little guy, so i like to give him snuggles and he doesn't usually mind.  these are the things he told me for his birthday interview...his favorite colors are black, red, white, and blue.  his favorite food is basketti and big carrots!  he likes to play guns, ride his bike (he's had a few crashes lately), and still enjoys dressing up.  he likes to have a friend or cousin over and likes to have fun with bentley playing in the dirt or sawing stuff or shooting or whatever they can find to do.  he also likes to irrigate and help dad farming.  he liked helping me plant the peas in the garden and he has started tball, that he has fun at.  he said his favorite article of faith is #1 because it's easy :) and his favorite part of fhe is the lesson, especially the one about the big, big LIE.  (it's a packet i made and he likes to choose it).  we sure love bridon and are so glad he is part of our family!!!
