Fun to be FOUR!

emerson had a special day turning 4. she got to bring her favorite snack to preschool the day before...gorilla poops and red peppers.  they were not so much of a hit, but she loved them!  she wore her skirt grandma moncur made her.  on her birthday, her 3 little girl cousins her age came over for a tea party; henley, ezra, and grace.  emerson got to play hostess, which she loved. we had lots of fun and then went to the library for story time.  emerson wanted a castle cake for her birthday, so she helped me make it and frost it and put candies on it while ellee took a nap.  pretty good job for a four year old.  she also got her princess coloring book first thing as one of her gifts and colored for hours.  we had to make a costco run in the midst of things, but her and ellee don't mind...she totally conked out on the way home.  then, chicken and rice for dinner and the ward talent show that nite.  we practiced "i'm a little teapot" but she got total stage fright and folded in the spotlight.  she had an excellent day and we love her so much!  she has so much fun playing and imagining, making up songs, coloring, and riding her bike (bridon's old one).

i gave her a short quiz and this what she said:
favorite colors:  yellow, pink, purple
favorite foods:  basketti, chicken and rice, hawiaan haystacks, grapes, and peppers
favorite thing to do:  play dolls, especially dolls going to bed (me too!:), sliding, and i am adding in her bike.  she loves that thing!
favorite thing to do with mom:  clean up. ha!
she loves:  ladybugs and playing and wearing SKIRTS!
when she grows up:  she wants to be the mom

we love you emerson!  it is so fun for me to have little boys AND little girls.  i am blessed to be your mom and get to teach you about all the fun things girls and moms get to do!
