December at a Glance

first off, i see that ellee was left out of the december pictures so far!  poor girl!!! i will need to remedy that.  she is very busy these days and can destroy a room or area in a matter of minutes. we had our first snowfall last weekend.  we woke to it as we left to clean the church and have tithing settlement.  i was vacuuming all the pews in chapel while emerson and bridon dusted up on the stand with ellee as their helper.  she came to me and showed me something she had found in the choir seats.  a piece of rabbit or deer poop.  i went and washed her hands and threw it away and then kept cleaning.  when ben came in to finish up... her breath smelled like poop.  what a tragedy!  i blame it on the 1st ward.   ha ha. j/k!  i don't think anyone reads this much, so we will see if they do!! :)  anyway, back at home the kids had fun in the snow!

bridon put on his pants to go out and said they were too small!!  i guess so...they are emerson's.  i think he looks like a little pirate with them on.  he says the craziest stuff.  like, ''do rocket ships always have to be facing up in the sky?"  we say "yes".
"well", he says, "i don't know how i would keep from falling out of the seat if i were driving one!!!"  and other random things, esp at scripture time.  bentley asked if the war in mormon was wwI.  i said no, that it was much before that.  so, of course, bridon pipes up and says..."yeah, it was war ZERO!"
well, we got into the cattle business.  something fun to keep us busy in the winter, i suppose.  maybe we will grow the herd and eventually move to the middle of nowhere as i have always pestered ben about doing:)!  ok, probably not, but why not i say!???  emerson and i waiting for daddy to get done with lunch while branding.  it has been SLIGHTLY cold recently....

and then we have the boys, firing up old 'smelly' blue they now call her to take water for the cows...
the ward christmas party turned out successful and the kids helped out with one of the songs.  so cute!
poor emerson's exema flared up in all this cold, dry weather.  back to the dermatologist we went and now her arms look much better!  too bad her hair started falling out again this week...her and i might need to go on an anti-inflammation diet and schedule.  it would help if she'd sleep though!!!  i finally got an appointment with the rhem the end of january.  the christmas season is upon us and we've enjoyed parties and stories and earning money for our sibling gifts.  i loved this special time as a child and hope that my kids will feel too the love of the Savior and all that he has done for us...as well as the magic of christmas that can only be felt as a child who still believes....

Glad everyone is doing well. This quote will fit your family: "Remember as far as anyone knows … we are a Nice Normal Family" You will laugh about all the things that happen along the way and maybe someday write a book about it!
