Grounded

so, two weeks ago i had to get the excursion towed from nampa.  and it has still not returned.  tragic.  we do have the pickup to drive, so i am grateful for that but it is a very tight squeeze and it drives like a semi.  i was en-route to costco when it quit, so i made the trip with all 4 the following saturday.  we had two carts.  we picked up a big chair for ben's birthday, so we had all that plus dog and cat food in the back with everything else i could load up on top of all the shovels and boxes that wouldn't blow out, then food and boxes piled hi under and inbetween everyone's seats.  it was nuts.  bentley held ellee while i loaded everything and drove the other shopping cart.  we saw 2 people we knew.  they were amazed we had another baby and that i was stuffing everyone in that tight space:).  that nite, we let the kids roast hot dogs at the fire pit.  bridon threw them and watermelon up 3x that nite.  if i ever wanted to eat a hot dog again, which i didn't, that sealed the deal for a NO!

anyhow, we've been close to home the past two weeks.  the car fix is a fortune and our pump on our well went out also.  they say it was old wiring that burned it up.  when the electrician came to do the rewire he asked if i would like him to leave me a fire extinguisher :).  yikes!  that's cool though, sure they set us back several thousand but like ben says, atleast it's not one of us in the shop for 2 weeks!  for sure!!!
miss ellee lyn got her first tooth on may 1st and is working on the 2nd one this week.  most of this happens during the nite!  she's a pretty content baby during the day for the most part, but those teeth get her down at nite.  i feel bad because i get so tired from it and then i'm onry to my other kids during the day...and ben.  we put her back with emerson because she had started sleeping until about 4 and then the teeth.  emerson wakes up and can't go back to sleep, so hopefully we'll get everybody on a schedule soon!

chettoh had kittens.  four of them.  another semi-wild cat that comes around looked like she was going to have kittens.  i couldn't have that.  i named her mouse.  i set the live trap where she always hangs out and caught her.  one of our employees took her home and said his kids love her.  sweet! it was also ben's birthday.  we made cake in jars and the kids begged to get the slip and slide out.  when bentley's home they love to play together.  i love when they do that!!
this week was our last library day at the park.  the kids had a blast!  bentley and i also started on the garden in the past 2 weeks.  it has been super warm and dry!  we had a special fast sunday for moisture.  i know that there is power in fasting and prayer.  i feel like just the smallest things i don't want to ask for but that if i do, the Lord is totally mindful of and helps me work out a way.  there is a line in the bible dictionary that kept coming back to me recently.  i discovered it on my mission..."the object of prayer is not to change the will of God but to secure for ourselves and for others blessings that God is already willing to grant but that are made conditional on our asking for them."  plus work on our part, but very, very true!

I love this post and I love your faith. And I love that your life is crazy right now because, really, wouldn't you rather have a crazy life with four little kids than a quiet life with none? I know I would!
