Ellee Lyn

she came on her own!  november 18, 2012.  my water broke that night around 2.  she was born at 11:58 the next morning, and she's a girl!  everything went well except that i must have been dehydrated so the iv was rough and then the epidural was crazy business ending in me passing out and blood pressure going way down.  should've gone natural!?
she came healthy and strong to us.  i guessed 8lbs 4oz, and she was 8.46, but they put 8lbs 5oz on her birth certificate, 20 3/4 inches long.  we hadn't decided on a name for a girl, only a boy.  ben and the dr. were somewhat in cahoots- a few months ago she sent home a sealed envelope that gave the gender with a big smiley face and a question mark for him.  i figured since he didn't care about the girl's name much, that it was a boy or he didn't know.  we named her ellee, using my middle name and my aunt carolee's name.  lyn comes from my mom and loren's names.  she looks like bentley and emerson, with very dark brown hair.  she has low jaundice, but is DAT positive, something i've never heard about.  so...she was on the light at the hospital and has one here at home.

bringing a new baby into the world and home is always a very special time.  our family all ready loves her.  i had several 'feelings/inspirations' leading up to her birth that i need to write down. but, for now, each one of these babies carries such a special spirit from our heavenly father and each one is a miracle.  i am so grateful to be her mother!  we miss grandma not being here, but we are getting along fine and have so many offers of help.  off to the dr for a blood draw and check...hoping all is well!

Congratulations! What a special little girl. I hope her blood gets all sorted out quickly and it's not too much of a worry for you. Enjoy your sweet new baby, as you know she's going to grow fast!

Congrats! How exciting for you to have another girl! I love her name too!

My parents did move and they sold their house. Its been great for them to have a smaller place that's very low maintenance!

She will be a special part of your family. Now the "girls" can hold their own with the boys. I was glad I could be there to help for a few days.
