i don't know what to say except it seems like spring is here! it snuck right up on me and i love seeing that sunshine. farming and water have started. bentley goes with ben every sunday morning to change all the water. he comes back covered in mud, but he is old enough to help out now. he goes other times as well. ben prefers one at a time, so in the picture below it wasn't his turn. he ran behind the radish planter after school till it was...silly boy!
we've been outside working in the yard and running and playing. lots of spraying and weeding, trimming, and getting stuff ready! mr. bentley spent an afternoon being my dandelion sprayer while bridon and i replanted grass patches that shera dug out (grrr..) he loved this job. however, i'm not sure if there was an effective kill. hmmm...
the popcorn has been popping for emerson and bridon. emerson feeds shera rocks and weeds and wood. and she eats it all. while i was down in the yard, e wandered off up by the chicken coop. when i went up there, i found her and shera plopped out in the oat field. emry was pulling up strands of oats and feeding them to dingleberry. those two love each other!
bridon is bridon. he has been obsessed lately with wearing a red cape. he has the red, knob off his dresser that he calls his 'recorder'. he uses his blanket for extra 'wing' power. emerson calls him boy. boy threw her into the wall friday and banged her head up pretty good. both he and emerson got sick this week with throw up and a fever. bridon got everything in a bowl. good job!
this weekend we got a surprise visit from jenny and family. when aunt jenny comes to town it is a marathon party. i am exhausted writing about it!:) yes, apparently, we don't do much for family excitement unless she comes. it was gorgeous weather! we played in the park, ran thru the sprinklers, the kids had a sleepover, went fishing, jumped on the trampoline, and we had a bbq, plus lots more. next up, the garden and getting bentley going on his lawn mowing job :)...
