bentley turned 6 on sunday. has it been six years?? daylight savings is always right around his birthday now. painful. i was quite enjoying waking up early because it was light! our little man got a matchbox fire truck from bridon, clothes/sox/etc., a scrapbook box for the past year, swim goggles, and the land before time 2, vhs. good times, good times. the week before, we looked thru loads of cakes on family fun.com. he picked out a crocodile cake and i did my best. don't look too closely! oh well. he requested meatballs for dinner and got a pack of starburst from the bishop. g & g came down to blow out candles. he received several wishes from family...thank you! ben and i let him stay up to play a game with just us. he has been dying to try playing 'ticket to ride.' he thought that was the best, to play a game one on one and to get to stay up late! we did a little bit of celebration the day before. ben bought him a chalk pencil and got him a hamburger. he had a blast with the chalk pencil. then shera ate it the next day when he left it out after church. we took the kids to jumpin jungle and to get frozen yogurt saturday nite. unfortantly, he got sick today. i interviewed him anyway, but have had trouble getting the video to upload. hopefully soon!

bentley is so special to us. he has brightened my life since the day he came. my goal for his year of six is to see more of the good in him and patiently help him with the things he needs to work on. he is so obervant and can remember so well. he loves kindergarten and learning! he especially loves riding the bus with mr. jim and his teacher at school. he notices people who might need help and works hard to be honest most of the time.

we still have a pack of gum in the car that needs to be returned to albertson's because we got out without paying for it somehow and he noticed. he is very interested in what people are up to and wants to be a part of fun and work, mostly. he really is a great helper. he is also easy to please in so many ways. that is such a huge help to his mother! love you bentley. happy birthday!!

So glad Bentley had a fun birthday! I am thankful for him also. He is such a good helper and like you said he is very observant so it makes it fun to visit with him and hear his latest adventures. I'm excited to come this weekend and continue to celebrate his birthday!
Happy Birthday, Bentley!
Can't believe he is six already!! The kids are excited to see you guys next week :)
That's a great idea to let one child stay up late to play a game! I'm stealing that idea.
I thought Bentley was much older! Is he tall for his age? He looks older than six to me!
He is a special part of my heart! Love you Bentley.
