Sold

i'm not really a believer in craigslist; only found a couple deals.  i find it easier to buy from the store or online...but, today i sold seven laying hens by listing them on it. it was hilarious catching the exact ones the people wanted, cause there's so many! i'm hoping to sell about 30 more. ha! we'll keep just enough for eggs for the family and some for the boys to sell for their mission fund. they started pecking the turkey's bum and the mohawk baby like crazy. ben told me he'd be ringing their necks if i didn't start getting rid of them, and he did help one meet a premature death while i was gone on sunday. the harlots love sugarbeets. bentley got off the bus two days in a row and gathered beets and tons of tops with a pitchfork for them that the diggers left behind. he said the funniest thing at fhe last nite. i asked him what the word of wisdom was. he listed the usuals- alcohol, tobacco, and 'moon'...for no moonshine. i think ben said that last week being funny.

we're enjoying fall and the beautiful weather, most of the time. bridon started pre-school. he also got knocked off the front porch playing with shera. she's probably a good, 80 lbs. now. i was trimming all the bushes and such and he landed straight on his back in the roses. poor kid.

emerson got a haircut yesterday...by her brother.  i went and heard julie beck speak, and i was trying to write a few things down and read my scriptures while the kids colored.  bentley came in yelling and i went in to find hair all over the table and brion saying, "mom, she has mulletts."  i am aware that her hair is mullettish, but i was hoping for a beautician to help me out with that.  she is no worse for the ware, though, and found her kittys to hold by the neck while i was out decorating for fall and clearing more of the garden.  we got replacement kittens after i ran over bob.  it was so sad!  i was heading to the office in a rainstorm and she had gotten up in the motor.  e was yelling for bob from the back seat and i had to go find a snow shovel to scoop her up and take her to the dumpster.  i felt so horrible!  another one bites the dust.

this past, weekend we enjoyed gorgeous weather and went friday nite to the pumpkin patch in paul with my mom.  we spent saturday there and then she watched our kids, so that we could attend uncle larry's endowment in the tf temple.  such an awesome thing to witness!

I'm pretty sure my favorite line in that blog post is, "The harlots love sugarbeets." Hahaha!
Let's do something soon. I miss you guys terribly!
