on sunday a lady from our ward gave a talk. it was bridon's nursery teacher, sister garner. i really enjoyed it and thought about it all day long, but i didn't think the kids had paid much attention to it. that afternoon, bentley started quoting things he had heard from her story...then bridon would chime in a little. it was so cute. i had bentley repeat the story for fhe last nite. he had many questions and even wanted to take a look at my temple recommend. it made for some great learning moments. this is how it goes...
there is a field loaded with money nearby. you can get as much as you want, anytime. all you have to do is (this is the part they shout) "get up, get ready, and go get that money!" except you can only get it for you (they repeat this part too) and help your family with it, no one else. so what are you waiting for?
the speaker has a slight, southern accent and since bridon thinks she's the greatest thing since sliced bread, all ears were listening apparently. she compared this story to the temple and how we have our own 'field of money' waiting for us right over in boise, loaded with spiritual blessings. the rest of her talk was about her and her husband's first trip to the temple the minute their year was up after joining the church, all by themselves with their new baby, in a new place (they were career military). it was very touching...it made me stop and think about what we have right at our fingertips.

That sounds like an awesome sac. talk! I wish I could have heard that one...I love it when people talk in church with accents...it makes it sounds even better and seems to get the kids attention more. Sounds like she knew how to capture the addiences attention.
