me and lisa get together every few months. this time it was her turn for a visit to us. some days i'd prefer having her close by instead to just run to town with, drop the kids off to without having to plan ahead or hire a sitter, do girl stuff (what exactly is that anyway :)?, you know...but our visits are fun and our kids love them. this one was super relaxed. we hung around the farm most of the time. blaiz loves the trucks and bentley was dying to take him on the combine. it was broken down for several days because of a faulty part, but they got to ride the last day. we also fed the super, aggresive ducks at the marsing ponds. i think it's funny that the picture i took has the kenworth going over the bridge. what a coincidence, i never even noticed. those ducks nearly took a finger off of both tylee and bridon! we played outside in the great weather, watched a movie, loaded some garden stuff, and made a pizza snake that was taken over by smoke from 'uncle ben's' sticky breakfast bun spill in the oven. thanks for the visit!
my kids seem to do better after interaction with other kids. we still do pre-school and try to get out a little bit, but it just seems like it's better with a visit. i did not know until now exactly what people meant when they would say what works for one kid, does not work for the other. bentley and bridon are nite and day difference! bentley has just now decided christmas presents and toys might be fun (well, not exactly) he asked me for an apple peeler and a battery powered tractor. it will be interesting to see bridon's reaction with the holidays. he is a complete, free spirit. he loves toys, playing, and being a kid more. he is highly observant and notices all the cartoony and toy stuff that bentley never did/has. for instance, the only time he's seen a barbie is on a package of bandaids we had. how does he pick out fake eyelashes (while i was in walgreen's) and a bra (while i was shopping for socks in target) and tell me we need them for barbie?! oh bridon, lately you have kept me busy but laughing!!
