October's Welcomed Guests

i guess we're living up to the pact we made as kids. "i pray my children won't have to just sit and listen to old people talking at the family reunion, cause there are no kids to play or hang out with! promise me, you'll have kids and that we'll get together often!" that's what we'd both say to each other after some of the get-togethers. it wasn't anyone's fault, so i hope i don't hurt any feelings, there just wasn't much action to be had because there was a lack of kids! lisa, blaiz, and tylee came up for a fall visit this past week.
we spent our days cooking and cleaning up (sometimes i feel like i'm going nuts, but that's a whole other post entirely), dipping caramel apples, attempting a camp fire, dinner in a pumpkin, watching pete's dragon (i never realized all the booz in that show!), and visiting a straw/corn maze. we had a blast! bentley especially has so much fun with his cousin blaiz to play with. our first attempt at the corn maze, we got rained out.

bentley and blaiz had just returned from unloading corn with ben at the dairy. apparently (we found out later) they had been rolling around in the silage and they stunk to high heaven! not only did the car get filled with mud but bad odor!
on our second attempt, it was super cold but we went anyway. bentley showed blaiz the fine art of 'shelling' corn, so that's what they did the whole time. we also came across little bo-peep who had been strewn out into the maze with her sheep nowhere to be found. it was quite entertaining. we had a great time. thanks for the visit!
