Personal Shopper

i don't know what my problem is, but i just don't enjoy going to town and shopping as much as i used to. some women can't be stopped from going to the store, but for me i sometimes can't be forced to get out the door to get there! in my single days, i wore fashionable outfits, shopped for deals, and really enjoyed buying gifts at christmas time and such; oh, and i loved a good auction or flea market! after having my kids, i figured maybe i should do more shopping online to alliviate the stress of shopping with them, but that's even crazier finding the time to get the stuff ordered when i have to squeeze in all my work time on the computer anyway each day. so then, a while ago, i figured maybe i'd try 'couponing' and that would make me want to get to town and get those great deals. it worked for a few months, but i must admit i haven't gone for ages. it is a lot of work, and though i'm not afraid of a little hard work, i do want to focus that energy instead on doing a good job with my bookkeeping work, my yard, canning, MY KIDS, exercise, pictures...you get the idea! so, i gave it up and started going to costco, paying more for less stress! that brings me to the most recent incident. yesterday, while returning something at the friendly costco desk that ended up being a nitemare with neither party being at fault, bridon decided to jump out of the cart onto his head. mind you the place is a warehouse, so it has cement floors. good grief! i knew he was ok, by his non-gut wrenching scream, but the workers were all freaked out and took down my name. they recommended i take him to the doctor and gave me some ice from the bathroom. his head didn't swell, but he kept grabbing his hand. i'm pretty sure that was from a few weeks ago, when bentley ripped a pair of sewing scissors out of his hand and i thought he might need stitches. well, i guess what i'm saying, is i think the idea of a personal shopper is fabulous! i'm not sure how they work, but if i had one, i'd send them out to find all the fashionable, great deals for less, while i'd stay home and go nuts. it is true, sometimes it feels good to get out of the house, even if your kid does fall out of the shopping cart on his head...or does it?

Now you know how easy it is for a mom to run over their child's fingers with a shopping cart or watch as your kid graps the bottle of ketchup off the shelf and smashes it on the floor besides you! However, I am glad that Bridon survived the fall. I know why my mom did all her Christmas shopping from the Sears and Roebuck catalog - it wasn't just the distance...

I've always wanted to be a personal shopper. We might have to work something out.

I think that is a great idea! I wish they would have had that when my kids were little! It was a whole day activity and I had to plan my time carfully because I had a tiny window to work with because they had nap time! It was sooo stressful! I totally had flash backs reading your blog!!
