it is the start of many i'm sure, but this week we took the preschool friends/siblings/cousins to the fire station in caldwell. 
we checked out the engines and saw the fireman come down the pole. we could even try on the hats and crawl thru the cab, but bentley was feeling a little nervous, so he opted out. oh well, at least he has some shyness and manners sometimes. before we left, he told us he wanted to hear the trucks go "pshhh" like dad's truck, the kenworth (he likes hearing the air brakes).

What a fun field trip. I remember when the firemen came to our school to talk to us and they scared me to death because they said they wouldn't be able to find a "rural route" address.
