i don't want to jinx myself, but so far, the foot zoning is really helping out our family. bridon has become so well behaved, that ben offered to watch him and bentley while i went for an afternoon of skiing up at bogus basin with the collins' family on saturday. i took my old camera and snapped this sweet pic with sabra (sporting the mugger look) before the batteries died. there was no fresh snow, but there had been quite a bit during the first part of the week and the weather was perfect, so i really had a nice time skiing down the mountain a little slower than in the younger years, but nevertheless, making it down without damage! man, ben is so great for doing that...and the boys fared well too! oh, the best part was that my lift ticket was a free pass that the collins' had. thanks for a great time!
bentley never ceases to amaze me with what comes out of his mouth. we usually go out to eat once a week (i know, i am a slacker cook!)...this time to applebee's where we had a gift card from campbell tractor. our waitress had a really deep smoker's voice, and bentley asked us and then her "if she was sick?!" oh goodness! we went to the ymca last nite for fhe and now in all of his prayers he prays that we can go back to the swimming house and go down the slide. that's what he calls all of the places in town, like les schwab (ratchet house), convenience store (bug juice house...this, of course, is with his father!), and burk's (tractor house).
this weekend we also went to one of ben's cousin's farewells over in eagle. he has been called to the new zealand mission. how about that!? it seems so long ago now that i served a mission or even went to college for that matter...i just received a wedding announcement from a former mia-maid i taught when i first moved up here. how time flies! catch y'all later!!

Wow, skiing, That's ambitious. I think it has been at least 10 years since I went skiing last! I love how Bentley is calling everything the house. That is cute. It gives me hope to hear cute things that little boys do but then I hear about the teenagers and I get all worried. Oh, well, I'm sure I will figure it out. We will for sure dress our little boy in Carhartt and John Deere, by the way. He needs to know his farming roots! Oh, and we had to find out the gender or John would have gone crazy. But he agreed that after we have a girl and a boy we can be surprised. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the cold weather cause it's 81 degrees here!
I hope Bentley is feeling better and Bridon doesn't get cough. What a good way to remember the special things that "kids say" when they are young. Keep up the good journaling!
