First Week Back!

our first week back to school was august 25th for the boys and the following tuesday after labor day for emerson!  bentley is in 3rd grade with mrs. dornin as a teacher.  bridon has mrs. blacketter for 1st grade.  they both do well in school, and although the homework was painful for a while, we are hopefully finding our groove!

emerson is doing preschool again down in marsing with 'miss jamie.'  she has a very full class but enjoys going and knows all of her abc's and numbers.  she was a little sad that first week back, missing the boys.  she had to get creative to find things to do without them.  you can see her setting up her swimming pool and diving board. 

the first monday back, we did an fhe on the tree of life.  we have started the bom over and are in 1st nephi, so i thought this would be appropriate.  the tent was the great and spacious building, the twine was the iron rod, and the rice krispie treats represented the fruit of the tree.  bridon wore his helmet to 'protect his head' from the hanging fruit :).  ben and i would try to 'tempt' everyone away into the mists of darkness, but eventually they all made it and hopefully learned something...a great start for a new year!
