How Does your Garden Grow?

all ready the yard and garden are beautiful and producing lots!  the garden was questionable in the beginning with a lot of weeds and little water:), but with a little elbow grease and time we are back on track now.
the trumpeter vine is blooming and the front flower garden.  we had a bumper crop of brocolli, strawberries and beets.  we "heart" strawberries!! we also have cabbage coming out our ears, so we've given that away and spinach too!  monday is deemed 'garden' day.  we try to spend a little extra time in the garden this day weeding and taking care of bugs and things like that.  saturday is mowing day for bentley.  here he is walking home from a hot mow up there in his borrowed sombrero from uncle brian.  so far, he's stuck with the task and is making some good money for his mission and to spend a little.  the girls are in the flowers modeling their cute skirts after church a few weeks ago.  i re-purposed these from one of my old skirts.  i had just enough for two skirts, but needed a lining, so i cut up an old white blouse and ta-da!  they are done.  kind of fun and no cost except my time.  ok, time is slightly valuable :), but they turned out cute.  emerson has a sweet tooth and has a sucker in her mouth that i forgot to have her take out.  hope everyone's enjoying the beautiful green and growing season this time of year.  we are hoping to can pickled beets this afternoon!
