Ellee Lyn the Birthday Girl!

i can't believe my baby turned one!  how did that year go by so quickly?  miss ellee's birthday was this past monday.  it was a laid back day.  aunt lisa had made her a birthday shirt and bow and i spent the day frosting her cake and making her some super cute bibs, since she was wearing all the other kids' hand me downs and making her a glittery/sparkly #1 candle.  daddy brought her home her own chocolate milk which he gave her a whole bottle of! i felt pretty good, so i decided to invite over family for cake and ice cream.  the boys helped me clean the house up when they got off the bus and we had a little party with treats and presents.  thanks!

we love ellee so much!  she took her first steps on the nite of november 6th.  she was such a good girl while i was sick.  it was a blessing.  this week she's had a runny nose a bit and is working on transitioning between 1 to 2 naps.  she is a full-fledged walker now and waddles all around the house.  she has 8 teeth.  she got that last one in during october.  she says 'uh-oh' and sometimes babbles mommamomma, dadadaada, but not fully saying them yet.  she will also pretend to answer the phone like she's saying 'hello.' when you say yuck, icky, don't do that...she makes the funniest, kind of gagging sound that i taught her.  i need to record it.  it makes everyone laugh:).  she loves her bottle.  she is still an early riser...usually 5:45-6, she gets up but we can give her a bottle in her crib and she'll chill in there till about 6:30 and then be up!  i think her eyes are almost completely brown now.  all 4 kids brown eyes.  must be dominant.  neither ben or i have brown eyes.  she loves to laugh and play and climb up on stuff and jump off, play patty cake, give a high five, and give a kiss...which is opening her whole mouth and slobbering on you.  happy birthday baby girl; i am so glad i didn't miss your 1st birthday!
