Leap Year

yesterday i had this great idea to do a little leap year time capsule on leap day! i made a noble effort, but alas emerson did not want to participate (she is sick, entering terrible two's, independent, climbs into everything...), bridon threw up twice, and bentley got frustrated writing his address with me. oh well. they did learn about february 29th and b and I did some simple math. we had fun dressing up and taking pictures just because this day only occurs every 4 years...until the strawberry barf incident from coughing so hard(thx gma for a zone that nite!) the next leap day will be in 2016. bentley will be 9 almost 10, bridon will be 7 soon to be 8, and emry will be 5, going on 6!!! we did manage to complete a book about each little person and a few fun pictures to seal inside our capsule until 2016.

we also included what we've been up to this week. gpa graduated from lia, we played with our cousin, bridon got to go with dad to butcher shadow and two, lil roosters. i think i was more sad than the boys. bentley wanted to pet her one last time before school. emerson and i volunteered in b's classroom while they took the poultry to fruitland. the turkey weighed almost 22 pounds! ground work started, even through saturday. it seems like saturdays off sure went fast this year, or maybe i'm getting old. i took 2 of 3 kids with me to volleyball. i think that would have been a fun sport to take up before age 30! we have had nice weather one day, then windy cold the next but no snow. oh wait, until we drove to town today. first we saw the f&m milk truck completely rolled over, then we were in the middle of a flock of sheep. then the snow hit and slide offs when we got past the lake (it always ends there and never comes out here)! we just wanted to build one snowman this year, darn it! the hwy had slide offs too, and i had this feeling i should get off. i have had experience with this lately and after the second time, i took a detour. i don't know what would have happened, but i know this was a prompting however small. i hope i can be still and be good and patient enough to always have the spirit guide and direct me and my family.

we sustained a new stake president this week as well.  president and sister mccune have been called to be mission pres/wife for the utah, provo mission.  they are such amazing people, and i am so grateful i had the opportunity to learn and serve with debbie.  elder gavarret of the 70 presided and spoke to us, and i really enjoyed his messages.  this was one of the clips he used in the adult session saturday evening.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsrvW3iQdJY&feature=related.  it made me think.  have a beautiful leap year!

That is a great idea. You're so creative! Disneyland looks like fun! We had a blast when we went...I must have forgotten the hard parts already, I'm ready to go back!
