bentley went to his first day of kindergarten on the 24th. my how fast 5 years have gone by. he was so excited! earlier, i took him to do a little bit of school shopping and to eat at the sushi bar. he was the only kid there. we had to request a fork. the first days of school last week were parent transport. when he starts again this week, he'll ride the bus. he was slightly nervous when i left him in his chair, but not too bad. his teacher said he is a great helper to her, so that is good. he told me that he did not cry when i left him in his room, so why did i? sniff, sniff...

I'm with you girl--I think the hardest thing as a mother is to not be emotional about their venture into the world and independence from us. I know that is what we teach them and ultimately want for them to be successful at, but it happens so quickly when you drop them off for kindergarten at the age of 5.
Oh, my I remember those days. Tell Bentley I'm so happy for him, he is going to do great and have a fun time. It was so good to see everyone at wendell's party, thanks so much for coming!!! Mary

can't believe it! I'm not sure if I'll cry or not when sending Boston...we shall see (it's a long ways away) does he go all day or twice a week?
