Lesson in Hygiene

so for literally years we have been driving past the 'star' house to go to the grocery store, etc. the star house is carl's junior, and the boys are fascinated with the stars and huge, 2 story indoor, playland you can see in front. ever since my mission to the south, land of fried, i have cringed at fast food. the smell of grease when i enter the door stops me in my tracks...not to mention the stuff is a detriment to healthy eating! i finally gave in and we went to the star house for fhe. we'd been telling bridon maybe, maybe if he goes in the potty, and he is completely trained, so there you have it. but, imagine the grease smell, mixed with pee...

even ben was leery of the food and circumstances (his hand-breaded chicken somethings were filthy). and, what you say, i should know better and go to a cleaner fast food joint playland? how was i to know? i mean, i did have ben with me...he should be able to give tips on the food situation at least, right? the food was nasty and the playland was stinky. it sealed the deal for us to never go again when i looked thru the mesh wiring, and a huge hair ball stared back at me with pieces of fast food stuck to it. blu-uck!!! i doused the boys in sanitizer and e was not allowed to even sit in the high chair, our laps only (that was ben's rule, not mine, it was that bad!)

when we got in the car, this is what we heard (they did have fun though)...
bentley: why were some people talking different in there?
us: they were speaking spanish, like rogelio
bentley: well, why did everyone in there smell funny?
us: what do you mean?
bentley: they were stinky...like they might have forgot to wash their bums

i suppose an fhe lesson was indeed learned. our body is a temple, right? :) :)

that is too funny! Well, we have a McDonald's here that their play area is just being remodeled so hopefully it's done before you get here and we can take the kids to a clean place! (I've never caved to take my kids yet either, so we will have to see) haha

That is a good one! Bentley gets his name added to "The Funny Things Kids Say" list! I'm glad you survived FHE!

That is halarious! When we lived in Boise we were by a McDs and they actually found a knife in the ball pit!!! What the heck! So we decided not to go there anymore! Glad you got to show the kids a life lesson about their bodies being a temple! Awesome!

I am cracking up at that! I'm glad you have driven into his brain to wash his bum---it is a very important lesson, especially for boys!
