Cow Corn Banned!

corn harvest is kind of nearing an end...what is nearing an end is corn coming into the house! i banned it a few weeks ago when it was repeatedly shelled and 'harvested' all over the carpet into the kitchen into emerson's reach...and not willingly picked up by the culprits...i mean all over, terrible mess! the vacuum canister downstairs is probably full of corn from all the shelling. but, grandma let them have it one more time while we were gone to the temple (no blaming here, thanks for watching them!!) but it went too far when yesterday bridon got two kernels lodged up his nose. one i was able to remove with tweezers. the second finally came out with a sneeze. thank goodness!! no more 'cow corn' in the house (you know, not sweet corn but cow corn that only the cows eat). anyhow, mr. bentley loves the combine! he wants to ride every afternoon with whichever mcintyre is running it. bridon loves to go too and ride on the grain cart and to dump the truck with daddy. he eats 'sun' seeds and gets the shells everywhere, asking 'why' every second and has the time of his life. emry's pretty patient in all the ruckus. she's had a cold though and is getting her top teeth. it got so bad this week i thought she might have an ear infection. but, alas, a dry run to the doctor. happy harvest!

That just brought memories of watching Brad stick quarters up his nose! Good times...good times!

for future reference (T always puts things up her nose) if something is really lodged you are supposed to blow air up the other nostril and it should come out! fun times. Blaiz will love the cab-over picture.

Maybe you should bring in the wading pool from outside - dump the corn in and let them go at it. You say "in your dreams" the corn will never stay in the pool! Just a thought... Very cute fall pictures!
