me and the kids packed up this week and headed to lisa's house. we also made a few pitstops at grandpa and grandma's with good food and fun. right when we got to thatcher, i was looking out off the deck and noticed a fire coming up the hill towards lisa's house. i'm afraid i didn't do good under the pressure and acted like a crazy person, but i did get all 6 kids out of the house, the cars moved, and some hoses found. the fire department came just in the nick of time. some of the rougher, neighborhood kids were playing with matches and started the fire up. lisa remained calm and fought the fire with her garden hose till the firetrucks showed up.
the box elder county fair was going on that week. we took part in the fair parade one nite and also visited on a super, hot day and saw some of our cousins show their steers. my grandpa was there, so we got to visit with him for just a minute. the kids ate lunch and then wanted to go on a ride at the carnival. blaiz and bentley chose the dragon ride, and bridon and tylee
got to go on the merry-go-round. we looked thru the open class and 4-H buildings and i have to say, i was highly impressed with this fair. if it were like that here, my kids would for sure be doing 4-H in a few years. they just had such awesome participation and organization from the whole community...it was amazing!
we had some other fun going for a walk, water slide in the yard, and a picnic at the park. we weren't able to swim at their fun pool because it g
ot chilly the day we were leaving. bentley went instead last nite to roaring springs in the frigid air and sai
d it was 'awesome!' thanks so much for having us and letting us crash in on you...and literally crash some of your stuff. we had a great time! the ride home was nuts. i was so tired from some late nites with the kiddos out of their schedules. i finally got bridon and emry to sleep and then bentley had to go to the bathroom. i found a construction site in bliss with a port-a-potty so i wouldn't have to haul everyone in. they woke up anyway. he had to go again at mountain home. we listened to "sic 'em on a chicken" all the way home by the zac brown band. bridon yelled 'icken, icken' till i would switch it back for him. :) more pictures coming soon...

Glad you made it home safely. You go the extra mile (miles) to stay connected with everyone. Thanks for stopping along the way!
What a fun trip! Lisa is so lucky that her house didn't get burned down! Scary!!What an adventure!
You are such a super mom. I cringe thinking about driving that distance with just our two. Way to fight the fire! That is crazy. I do love the Box Elder fair--I bet you saw my cousin show her steer too, without knowing it :)
