Switch-a-Roo!

last month i got this whim to paint the crazy purple room and move the kiddos so that we wouldn't have to get a bunk bed and to have everything settled for the long run. we hired the top part and ceiling of the room done (bentley supervised) and also had the closets blown in with a paint gun. so nice! the boys moved to the new room and bridon grew up (it was time...little big for the crib!) he got his own twin bed and no longer drinks milk from a bottle. his bottle got passed on to his little sister. he has done just fine, other than the craziness of getting them to go to sleep together at nite!! all we have left is the binki he sleeps with and his new infatuation with occasionally using the potty.

of course the decorating bug hit me with all the changes, so i got started on the boys first and re-did some thrift store headboards, but then i ran into snags.i thought i'd just make emry a new crib skirt to go with the other , non-gender stuff i all ready had but it turned into re-doing the lamp, the changing table pad, another coat on the rocking chair, a chandelier, some wall decor, and rounding up the 'emerson ward' sign that's been in my family for years. i think it turned out great...still have the curtains and one more picture, but other things need my attention. the boys room is in the works, and we REALLY need a bedroom set in ours. ben is super excited we have carpet now though..and the best news, miss e has decided to sleep thru the nite (most of the time)!

Wow! That looks great--very shabby chic. I really like the sign, glad you were able to lay hands on it. Can't wait to see the boys room!
