Embarrassing Moments

i thought i'd venture from the norm here and toss things up a bit on the 'ol blog. yesterday i had an embarrassing moment of sorts. not too serious, but it reminded me of some all-time fav's. of course, there are a few i cannot disclose :). so, as usual, we barely made it in by the seat of our pants to church yesterday. in all the rush, i forgot to wear nursing pads. i hate those things, but when i go out in public they are a nice security. well, i had a disaster. half way thru sacrament meeting, i had to run over to my sis-in-law's and use her blow dryer to dry my shirt and borrow some nursing pads she had stored away to make it back in time to feed emerson and play the piano in primary. not too bad, but it reminded to me of some real doozies that were pretty funny (looking back). the best one was before my mission. i was in college and some friends from home (duff's i think :) had come for a visit. they stayed till sunday and came to church with me. i had to play the organ and then they were taking off after the sacrament. well, i went out across the stand to say goodbyes when the speaker got up. i thought i was headed out the door up on the stand that goes into the hall, but actually i went into the door that was the sacrament preparation room. SO, i had to come back out and go out the right door, all while everyone was listening to the speaker and watching me play musical doors. i felt like just staying in the room for the rest of the meeting...but someone had to play the music. yikes!

i think i all ready mentioned the other one. it was at the marsing park when i was first pregnant with emerson. i had a diarreah/throw-up attack and left real fast. i was down there with sam and julie and family and natalie (i should have just told them i was sick, right?). i loaded bentley and blaiz up real quick to run home, but only made it to the nasty outhouses on the other side of the park. i locked the boys in the car (i know, bad mom/aunt), and ran. still feeling qweezy and all the riff-raff of marsing were around the bathrooms. i backed the yukon up real fast and got the back tire completely wrapped around the guide wire of the power pole there. the marsing fire dept. was out and about and stopped to get me unstuck. all the while, i was hoping my family took the other way home so they wouldn't see the 'accident'! talk about embarrassing...all while you are dying cause you might have to go again!
