i recently got the crafting bug and made a few things to celebrate valentines day...a topiary, pendant banner, heart garland, and picked up a "new" vintage black and red tablecloth from the 50's. it's so fun to come up with ways to decorate! our family celebrated valentines day with a german pancake and raspberry breakfast which we also took to our neighbors. we got some fun little gifts and then grandma moncur came to visit in time to go to church with us. bentley gave his first prayer in primary all by himself; i have to admit, it was so cute and i was proud. we learned the sign language to 'love one another' during singing time so we'll continue to practice that. we had a yummy dinner and then watched the olympics that nite. in the morning, mom had given the boys a kit to make abc cookies , biscuits, playdough, whatever...the proud chefs served us our names for breakfast with blueberry jam. that afternoon we drove down to twin with mom a
nd then me and the boys stayed the nite at the beus' (of course bridy was naughty about sleeping, got so tired he actually fell asleep in the highchair!) julie and i and the
younger kids ventured out to downtown and found some cool stuff at the thrift store the next day (good thing everything is already gentley worn with our children in there running wild!!!) we also got some clearance valentines stuff and i helped julie make a topiary- super cute! and also made a wreath for the door for
next year for us. the kids had a blast playing together and we enjoyed some delicious italian crepes julie made for us on tues. nite for dinner; check out the recipe here http://thefarmgirlrecipes.blogspot.com. my dad watched the boys for me this morning so that i could run up to the fabric store in rupert and pick up some material for the new baby. we picked up dad and uncle brad from the hay meetings and have arrived home. thanks for the fun everyone!

I love all your cute v-day projects. I didn't really embark in any projects for Valentines this year. I think carrot could be a cute little girl's name (there's already an apple out there you know!) ha ha
You could at least consider carrot as a middle name. I love your crafts. I'm incredibly impressed with your ambition...aren't you due soon?!?
It was fun to come and visit. I just wish I was closer so I could run over after school to help you. Thanks for inviting me to come
