it seems that for part of january we had cabin fever and for the other part, i'm not sure where it went?! i'm sure none of you ever experience day after day of getting to the end and wondering what it was that i got accomplished that day? winter time is usually when i try to work on home decor projects or things i've
been putting off inside the house since we're outside so much in the summer. i have done a few things, but they are a few. one of them was a jumper i bought at jcpenny. i actually bought 2 since they were just too short for my liking and only $3 on clearance. i took the one apart, added it to the bottom of the other, then gathered the top part of the material for a ruffled edge to cover where i added it. it should have been quick, but the first time i put it on over my belly, i ripped it, so i had to redo it. good grief! another project was some decorations (banners, centerpieces) for winter and valentines. i made a snowman for the table out of an old chenille bedspread i bought off ebay. bentley helped me, but still asks me why i put "bleed" on his face (painted on his cheeks). pretty funny! i love looking at all the decorating sites and blogs there are out there now. some day i will actually DO some of the stuff i see on them! :) i even quit taking pictures fe
eling like all of them just looked the same and were t
he same things over and over each day. i will need to repent of my ways!
we have hosted a few friends over..the tuft's, camille, and our entire pre-school group with their moms for various meals. winter is when we get time to do that stuff and i do look forward to it. we studied the letter "o" at our place and did our own version of the olympics downstairs complete with an "o" medal and an olympic torch, which was a surprising hit! bentley is growing up! he knows so much now. he can write the b and the e in his name and often tells me so many facts and things that he's noticed. he will actually sit and watch a full movie...or good portions of one, plays out in his sandbox by himself while i try to work in the office, and often asks me if i have some school "projects" (he says it funny) that he can do. we just need to work on cleaning up; but he is at a fun age. i appreciate how he will go get diapers or cans/jars of food from the basement for me, bend over and pick something up (great at this stage of the game!), run and tell dad something for me, or just his love of work. he will spend hours in the shop sweeping or cleaning or handing whoever tools or running errands. hope it lasts!
bridon had a real bout of diarrhea for most of the month. i tried all sorts of things with his diet and schedule, took him to a chiropractor, took him to the dr. twice, and nothing. then, all of a sudden, it just quit! we went through a lot of diapers and waking up every nite, with no idea on what the problem was. bridon is learning so much right now and SO active. he is my little destroyer!!! i keep saying he has delayed speech because i compare him to bentley at his age, but he can sure tell you what he wants! he still says momma and no all the time, but has added daddy, ball, yes, and meow. i am amazed at the things he picks up on, probably because he has an older sibling. but
i'll catch him doing stuff like running his pretend debit card through the card machine. what?! he tries to do everything bentley does and eventually i'm sure he'll learn to hold his own!

Sounds like you have been really productive! I feel like I just run around in circles all day long and don't have much to show at the end of the day! I guess it's the season of life, it's worth it though. And Katy is getting so excited that your baby is about to come out! Can't wait to come visit!
Where is the picture of your jumper??? You are crafty, don't think otherwise, some blogs are just there to make you feel bad ;)
You are amazing.....a special feature on the letter O. Who are you? I know I should start thinking along these lines with Z in the house, but I guess I thought she would just learn letters and reading on her own or maybe from Elmo?!?
I'm ashamed I just wrote that.
So glad you could come and visit. The boys are really growing up. Bentley is so fun to visit with now and soon Bridon will start talking more. Keep up the good work! No one ever said it would be easy, but it will be worth it!
I'm glad we were able to come and hang out...it was a really fun night (and by the way I"m sorry we stayed soo late) I'm glad Bridon's diarrhea stopped, you deserve a break. I can't seem to get any of my "little" projects done either. I still have a digital picture frame in it's package from Christmas!
