Our Holiday Traditions

here are some of the traditions we have started as a family!we act out the nativity each year and always have fun doing so.
this year we did it on christmas eve up at grandpa and grandma mc's.
bentley was a wise man and bridon was a little sheep. the whole set up was a little rowdy, but we all got the meaning! counting down till christmas with the advent tree grandma moncur made for us! bentley is showing you that the last day is the love of god for us in sending his son...
bentley and bridon also decorated a little holiday tree that we cut down. bentley turns the lights on it and his christmas house every nite before bed. ben told him santa claus comes in his room and shuts it off after he's asleep...it freaked him out :)!

the annual wells-moncur christmas party, where this year EVERYONE attended! cool! we did a temple session with our family beforehand -thx beus' for watching the boys- and then went to the party at mary and wendell's this year with lots of food and fun. of course, we had our annual game of spoons. camille came out victorious. too bad my tooth implant decided to give me fits the nite before and finally exploded into a full infection into my sinuses at the party. the dentist had me go get vicadan, which didn't even touch the pain. i thought i was giving birth again it was so horrible. thank goodness for a dr. in the house...it literally saved me that nite to get an antibiotic!!! next year i'm sure i'll be feeling more festive!

last year we started making a birthday cake for jesus on christmas eve, carrying on something loren's family used to do. this year bentley invited katy down to make our cake. i put a candle on each end so that they could each blow one out to celebrate!

So glad that pesky tooth is feeling better. Thanks for coming to the party! It's my favorite tradition; glad we can still all get together.
