Scriptures and Prayers

every nite, after baths, we read scriptures and say prayers with whoever's home. tonite we read about the nauvoo temple and how the early saints worked day and nite and dedicated it room by room as it was finished so that they could receive the ordinances. i have known this, but it hit me hard since the last few visits, i've been painfully drowsy. they sacrificed so much and i can't even stay awake!!! today ben went to a funeral for our agri-service salesman, clay. he died of a heart attack at only 50. it really made me think about how short this life is and (pardon my non lds readers...you've heard it from me before:) whether i was a good example and offered him the blessings of the gospel. he's probably wondering right about now, why i (we) didn't tell him more! he was such a nice person. bentley asked me if clay would be coming by again with parts, and i said that he had died and gone to heaven. he asked me if he was up there with his animals (the ones he melted in the oven last summer)...see previous post if you're curious!
