Perfect Picnic

on saturday, bridon turned one! how the time has gone by...and what a year it has been with him! i figured that since he was one, i'd give him a try on soymilk...bad idea. reliving sleepless nites of a screaming baby sent me straight back for nutramigin! anyway, we took off late in the afternoon with both sets of grandparents, some aunts and uncle, and other, miscellaneous guests to go on a picnic up at leslie gulch. it was perfect picnic weather and we enjoyed getting away and seeing some new sites. bridon loved his meal of chicken salad sandwiches, fruit, chips, and lemonade cupcakes in the shape of a caterpillar. he just sat in his booster seat,devoured his food, and soaked up the sunshine! when we walked down to the reservoir, he was completely enthralled with putting all sorts of rocks in his mouth amid the cockleburrs. we are so blessed to have him in our family...right now he enjoys any type of food and has two teeth on bottom and two on top that keep disappearing. he loves to walk behind his walker cart and to go thru drawers, cupboards, etc. just this morning i could hear him and bentley laughing on the blue couch. he kept wanting bentley to pull him up on the couch so that he could do a somersault of sorts off onto the floor by himself. i figured the new carpet is soft enough in there, he shouldn't break his neck, right?! bridon also started pushing tractors and cars around on the floor, taking them for drives, and he just has a fit if he sees the 4-wheeler or machinery with one of us on it and he can't go. thanks everyone for coming with us! happy birthday little munchkin!!!
