no pun intended...i feel like we have just returned home from a trip to the arctic! my brother alan got married on friday morning in the logan temple to whitney panter. we headed down thursday after preschool, projects, and work - and, of course, errands on the way out of town. we all got together at lisa and eldon's and had navajo tacos...my oh my those scones were delicious and then got a hotel room in logan. rough times getting a good nites sleep with two boys in the room with you, but we made it and awoke to freezing cold conditions! it was windy, overcast, and trying to spit snow! the wedding was really good though, and it was so fun to go back to the same room we were sealed in five years ago. the spirit was definitely there and the sealer explained things a little bit differently than i have ever heard, reviewing the steps in how we get to that point and reminding us of all the blessing and covenants, but really cool! alan and whitney looked so happy and i am excited to spend more time with them and get to know her more! eldon's parents ended up watching all of our kids at our hotel (long story and so nice!) and by the time we hurried and picked up the kids and came back for pictures, pretty much everyone was gone! i have to admit i was disappointed. i had actually prepared my camera, batteries, etc. (this is a big feat for me) to take some really cool, candid photos on the lawn and in the daffodils with all of our matching outfits and of the big day. instead, we stripped off the kids' coats one time to take a family shot. i sure hope it turned out good! it was seriously frigid! i can't believe i messed around fretting with shopping for a matching dress, just to wear my massive winter coat anyway!
alan and whitney had a luncheon at the coppermill where all the family and friends attended. a lot of our cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends were able to come..and grandpa kunzler. it was really nice and fun to be able to visit with everyone! afterwards, we visited ben's cousin in hyrum and then stopped again at lisa and eldon's to hang out, eat supper, and visit. thx for letting us crash in, i hope you enjoy it as much as we do! it snowed all the way back to my parents and there were even some cars that had slid off the road from the slick conditions. goodness! saturday, we enjoyed listening to conference and took mom out to lunch for her birthday. 40 years young! i also got to take a look at a book that has been put together about the original kunzler family and the grandparents that homesteaded park valley from switzerland. just in the few minutes i was able to skim through the book, the spirit bore strongly to me that these were such valiant people and that i needed to remember my heritage more in the way i live everyday. they gave up everything to become members of the church and raise a family! i can't wait to get my hands on my own copy and read it cover to cover, something i rarely do! i am so grateful for a wonderful family, both mine and ben's! it really is such a privilege to be parents and i do try to remember each day to just look at my kids and remember these times, because i'm sure they will grow up so fast and i'll miss it so much! i'll put up pictures of the wedding as they become available...keep your fingers crossed for the family one! tragically this is all i have right now...

It was a cold day but I had a warm heart when everyone was in the temple for the sealing. There is nothing better in the whole wide world than having all your children with you at the temple! What a wonderful blessing! Thanks for all your efforts to be there. Maybe we can try pictures again in June... Thanks for being such a good mother, daughter, wife and sister. Have a good week! Love, Mom
That is so awesome! I saw his announcement at my parents house! They look like a super cute couple! My dad said it snowed on Saturday! Brrrr!
