yep, the furnace is in, the kids no longer have ear infections, and my computer is finally back after a complete overhaul from 'anti-virus 365'...it's one of the worse viruses out there and i'm crossing my fingers that the 200 bones it cost to fix it will keep it away! can it really be that long ago that i posted?! the last few weeks seem like a blur...where to begin!?
i think i left off with bentley and bridon under the weather...can i just tell you that hauling your kid into the 'quick-care' is not the answer. after that visit, bridon's GI visit, the family dr., and then twice to the chiropractor, we are cured for now! yep, i finally resorted to the chiropractor, or, as i like to call him, the bonecracker. yes, our family is well on its way down the alternative medicine path. he has this great little adjustment you do 5x a day to help your child's eustachian tubes drain...and, well, i think it worked or else the antibiotic finally kicked in on day 9! poor bridon was feeling even worse than himself and luckily his specialist had pity on him and ordered a shot. oh, it's hard to believe i lived through that week filled with space heaters, throwing up medicine, fevers, crying, and more crying, the beginning of our room remodel and all without ben. he was attending his last week of LIA in boise. the boys and i missed family nite, but i did make it to the auction thanks to camille who has been scarred for life while babysitting two, very sick boys (i didn't know what else to do?!) and part of 'graduation'...after i was up all nite with bridon in a hotel room and made it just in time from his dr's appt. to sit down and be the only one sporting jeans at a black tie affair. oh well! only a few throw-ups and sleepless nites later with ben back home and we recovered! i do wish we could have enjoyed his week more, though; i feel like he was a bit cheated, but there was nothing i could do...especially when we got locked out during graduation with the hotel key inside, bridon who pooped his pants, bentley crying and his medicine giving him diarrhea, oh man, i better stop!
in the midst of this, jenny and her kids came for a visit. i tried to keep the boys away from them as long as possible, but alas, we got together for playing and eating and fun...and her kids got sick too. is it possible to give someone your ear infection? probably our favorite event was one nite after katy and bentley took a bath. they went downstairs to play and soon bentley ran up yelling that he had been colored on. yep, katy took a good marker to his head, hands, and t-shirt. what a little character?! :) it's always so fun to have kids at grandma's house!
